In just a few short years, Big Easy Ranch has quickly become the area’s top destination for the finest sporting, hunting and golf amenities. And now, we are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated opening of The Covey, an 18-hole championship golf course, will take place March 2023.
Chet Williams Design was carefully selected to design the 18-hole championship golf course, complementing the existing nine-hole par three golf course, that he also designed. Williams has made a name for himself with many notable courses including two top-rated golf courses in Texas and beyond. The master plan for The Covey takes full advantage of the unique rolling terrain including several elevation changes with 80-foot drops from tee to fairway, tree lined fairways, running creeks and waterfalls. The par 72 course boasts 7511 yards with multiple tee boxes to challenge golfers of all levels and abilities. Zeon Zoysia fairways and rough and TifEagle greens will allow the best playing and course conditions for this area.
Expanded golf practice facilities include a 9 acre driving range, 3 acre short game practice area with 3 greens and 2 bunkers along with a separate putting green.
A full range of golf services will provide a first-class golf experience. A new clubhouse will boast finely appointed locker rooms, lounge areas, dining and bar areas and outdoor patios offering breathtaking views of the golf course and countryside from 50 feet elevation. The additional clubhouse will add to the award-winning dining experience already offered at Big Easy Lodge.

This one-of-a-kind venue provides 360-degree views of the golf course and ranch with indoor and outdoor seating
